Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Considers Extending Subsistence Moose Season in Unit 11

The National Park Service is evaluating a proposal to extend the federal subsistence moose hunting season in Wrangell-St. Elias from Sept. 21 to Sept. 30 for qualified rural residents of Game Management Unit 11. The park completed the required consultation process over the weekend. A final decision is expected to be announced by the superintendent on Monday, Sept. 14.
