Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve reminds federal subsistence hunters that the two‑day extension for the moose season applies solely to the FM1106 hunt area. The FM1106 season will reopen at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, and close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026. Hunters outside the FM1106 zone should continue to follow the regular season dates and regulations.
