Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail Closed Sept. 24 for Maintenance

The National Park Service announced that Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park will be closed to all visitors on Sept. 24. The closure, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., allows crews to safely complete roadside mowing and other routine maintenance. Hunters and other park users should plan to avoid the trail during this window. The road will reopen to traffic after the work is finished, and normal access will resume the following day.
