Partial Reopening of Saline Valley Warm Springs Campground After Fire

A portion of the Saline Valley Warm Springs Campground in Death Valley National Park is open again, while the Lower Springs area stays closed.

The National Park Service announced that a section of Saline Valley Warm Springs Campground reopened on September 17, 2026, following the recent fire. Visitors can now access the restored portion of the campground for backcountry camping.

The burned Lower Springs area remains off‑limits to the public by order of the Death Valley National Park superintendent until further notice.
