Olympic National Park Enters Fire Season

The Olympic Interagency Fire Managers have declared the start of fire season in Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest due to hot and dry weather conditions. Several small fires have been extinguished in the last three weeks, many of which spread from abandoned campfires. As fire season begins, hunters and visitors are encouraged to take necessary precautions to prevent wildfires.
