The National Park Service has opened a public comment period for a draft plan designed to strengthen the ability of the Playalinda District at Canaveral National Seashore to withstand future storms. The request follows damage from a recent hurricane and a king tide that affected dunes, trails and visitor facilities.
The proposed actions focus on protecting natural resources, restoring visitor access and upgrading infrastructure. Comments can be submitted through the NPS website, and hunters are encouraged to review the plan as it may influence hunting access and habitat management in the area.
