NOAA Reopens Comment Period on Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries has reopened the public comment period for Executive Order 14276, Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness, until December 15. This allows the public to provide input on ways to revitalize the US seafood sector. Additionally, NOAA Fisheries will host an online listening session to gather further feedback. In other news, West Coast anglers have been working with scientists to tag and monitor Chinook salmon, providing valuable data on the species. NOAA Fisheries is also working to promote sustainable fisheries and protect sea turtle populations through the use of turtle excluder devices.
