NOAA Re-Opens Comment Period on Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries has reopened the public comment period for Executive Order 14276, Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness, until December 15. This comment period aims to gather input on specific actions to take in order to revitalize the US seafood sector. Additionally, NOAA Fisheries will host an online listening session to further discuss the matter. The agency is also involved in other initiatives such as a salmon tagging project with West Coast anglers and exploring sustainable fisheries with the help of interns like Chloe Winter.
