NOAA Fisheries Celebrates Earth Day and Announces Conservation Efforts

NOAA Fisheries is recognizing Earth Day by sharing stories of their daily conservation work, including a new study on Atlantic bluefin tuna migration patterns and a guide to distinguishing between dolphins and porpoises. The agency is also accepting nominations for the 2026 Dr. Nancy Foster Habitat Conservation Award, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to marine, coastal, and riverine habitat conservation. The award nominations are due by June 1.
