NOAA Celebrates Whale Week 2026

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries recently celebrated Whale Week from February 9-13. During this time they shared information about whale science and conservation efforts. NOAA Fisheries uses various technologies such as electronic tags to study whales and learn about their behavior and ocean habitats. They also work to reduce the risk of vessel strikes involving North Atlantic right whales through real-time messaging networks.
