The National Park Service announced that the majority of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park is open again following damage from Hurricane Nolo. Visitors can now access most of the Kīlauea summit trails and the Kahuku Unit as conditions improve.

The service cautions that several areas remain off‑limits while crews complete assessments and repairs. Hunters planning trips should verify current closures and follow any posted restrictions before heading out.
