The National Park Service Incident Management Team has projected that water service to the Grand Canyon South Rim will restart with pumping from the Bright Angel Creek intake on Nov. 16, based on current construction timelines. This marks the first flow of water under the park's new treatment plan for the area. Restored water availability will benefit all South Rim visitors, including hunters accessing backcountry areas, by providing a reliable supply while supporting the park's broader conservation and resource management goals.
