The National Park Service announced that the South Kaibab Trail below The Tipoff and the entire River Trail, which links South Kaibab to the Bright Angel Trail, are now open to hikers. This reopening follows recent trail repairs in the inner canyon.

The Bright Angel Trail segment from the Mile‑and‑a‑Half Resthouse to Havasupai Gardens is also open for foot traffic only. Stock use will remain prohibited on this stretch as crews finish additional repairs.
