The National Park Service, in partnership with the Miami Conservancy District, will host a free public tour of Huffman Dam on Sept. 17. Attendees will learn about the dam’s role in flood protection, explore ancient geology, and discover nearby recreation opportunities. A Wright "B" aircraft will fly over the site as part of the event, offering a glimpse of early aviation history. Hunters are encouraged to join for a day of outdoor learning and appreciation of the landscape that supports both wildlife and sport.
