BLM Schedules Idaho Geothermal Lease Sale for Nov. 17

The Bureau of Land Management announced an online lease sale on Nov. 17, 2026 for 35 parcels totaling nearly 113,330 acres across Boise, Cassia, Clark, Elmore, Lemhi, Owyhee, Twin Falls and Washington counties in Idaho. Interested parties can submit bids through the EnergyNet platform. The sale aims to unlock new geothermal resources, strengthen U.S. energy security and support local economies by harnessing natural heat for reliable baseload electricity.
