BLM reminds visitors to honor fire closures on Oregon and Washington lands

The Bureau of Land Management says fire restrictions continue on all its public lands in Oregon and Washington as the region endures a historic wildfire season, with more than 2.5 million acres already burned. Visitors are urged to follow all fire restrictions and closures, exercise extreme caution, and help prevent new ignitions. While some closure areas are being reduced, BLM officials stress that any loosening of rules is done carefully to keep the public safe, and they ask hunters, hikers and other recreators to respect the remaining limits.
