BLM Releases Carlsbad Resource Management Plan and Final EIS for Public Review

The Bureau of Land Management has made the Carlsbad Proposed Resource Management Plan and its Final Environmental Impact Statement publicly available. The documents outline management strategies for the area, which is part of the roughly 245 million acres the agency oversees across 12 western states and the 700 million acres of subsurface mineral estate nationwide. Hunters, anglers, and other land users are encouraged to review the plan and submit comments during the designated public input period.

The release provides an opportunity for the hunting community to influence decisions that could affect access, habitat conditions, and wildlife populations on BLM lands in the Carlsbad region. Stakeholders can submit feedback through the BLM’s public input portal before the comment deadline, ensuring their perspectives are considered in the final management decisions.
