Abrams Falls Trail Closed Weekdays for Bridge Repairs, Reopens Weekends

The park will shut Abrams Falls Trail Monday‑Thursday starting Aug. 24 to replace footlog bridges, with weekend access remaining open through Oct. 1.

Beginning August 24, Great Smoky Mountains National Park will close Abrams Falls Trail from Monday through Thursday each week to replace aging footlog bridges and improve visitor safety. The work is scheduled to be finished by October 1. During construction the trail will stay open to hikers on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and on Labor Day (September 7).
